News 12 The Bronx Interview with Yosara Trujillo, Sweet Water Dance and Yoga

Yosara Trujillo started Sweet Water Dance & Yoga in 2012 with the money she had in her bank account and some financial backing from a friend. Her studio quickly filled a void in the South Bronx with this holistic wellness hub that provides a range of classes at reasonable prices.

Knowing that she needed a working capital boost to stay afloat, Yosara attended a financial workshop where she learned about Excelsior Growth Fund (EGF), and was quickly connected with a business advisor who walked her through the loan approval process. Shortly after, Yosara became the first recipient of an EGF loan through the Entrepreneurs of Color Fund, a loan program made possible with support from JPMorgan Chase and designed to increase access to capital for the diverse businesses located in the South Bronx.

News 12 The Bronx recently sat down with Yosara to learn more about her business and how her EGF loan through the Entrepreneurs of Color Fund has helped her business grow.
