(BUFFALO, N.Y.) Sherri Falck was hired as assistant vice president for Western New York at Excelsior Growth Fund (EGF).
In this position, Falck is responsible for managing partnership development efforts and implementing business advisory services including workshops/seminars as well as advising small business owners on loan readiness, credit issues, SBA backed loan products, and financial management.
EGF is an affiliate of New York Business Development Corporation (NYBDC). EGF is a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides innovative financial solutions and business advisory services to small businesses in underserved markets throughout New York State. EGF’s core loan program is the EGF SmartLoan™, which offers competitive rates and terms, along with the convenience of a fast, streamlined online platform.
Falck has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and economic development. Prior to joining EGF, she held positions at Hodgson Russ LLP (Buffalo, N.Y.), Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (Buffalo, N.Y.), the Downtown Dayton Partnership (Dayton, Ohio), Force5 Studios (New York, N.Y.), Douglas Elliman Real Estate (New York, N.Y.), Leo Burnett (San Jose, Costa Rica), Saatchi & Saatchi Rowland (Rochester, N.Y.), and TransImage International Communications (New York, N.Y.).
In addition to her role at EGF, Falck is an executive board member for Working for Downtown, a volunteer community organization that promotes and contributes to the development of downtown Buffalo, and a board member for Groundwork Buffalo, an organization that works to improve the environment, economy and well-being of Buffalo’s neighborhoods and its residents. She also serves as a business coach for Westminster Economic Development Initiative, Inc. (WEDI), an organization that works to empower economically-disadvantaged people who live and/or work on Buffalo’s West Side.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Dayton (Dayton, Ohio) and completed the Young Professionals Leadership Program at Canisius College Center for Professional Development (Buffalo, N.Y.).
Falck and her family are proud to have returned to her hometown and currently reside in the city of Buffalo.
