Meet Your Presenters

Rolando Gonzalez
Senior Staff Attorney at Legal Aid Society
Rolando Gonzalez is a senior staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society’s Community Development Project, where he represents low-income small businesses, community-based nonprofit organizations, HDFC cooperatives and tenant groups that work to preserve affordable housing. Prior to that he worked in Legal Aid’s Housing Development Unit and as an attorney in the 9/11 Small Business Legal Assistance Project, where he represented small businesses located below 14th Street affected by the events of September 11. Mr. Gonzalez was also a staff attorney at Harlem Legal Services and prior to that was Deputy Counsel for Planning and Economic Development for Congressman Jose E. Serrano. He frequently addresses community groups and he has been a panelist in CLE trainings.
Irene Dominguez
Assistant Vice President, Senior Business Advisor at Pursuit
Irene Dominguez is responsible for working with a roster of borrowers, understanding their business needs, connecting them with business resources, and developing new ways to engage them in consulting and advisory services. Prior to joining Pursuit, Irene worked with women and minority small businesses in other nonprofit organizations providing guidance on certification processes, credit, and other business areas. Irene has extensive experience in the non-profit and government sectors, including work with small businesses as well as program evaluation. At Pursuit, Irene has supported efforts to reach small businesses through participation in events, including acting as panelist at the 2024 Latino Business Forum, which was organized by the SBA and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Bridgeport. Irene has an MA in Social Sciences, with concentration on economics, from Montclair State University.
