Each year, The Long Island Business Development Council (LIBDC) inducts new members into its hall of fame to recognize the significant contributions they have made to the economic stability and growth of the business community. We’re excited to announce that the LIBDC chose NYBDC’S Rich Amsterdam, senior vice president and regional manager, as this year’s inductee at the Council’s 50th anniversary conference.
Throughout his 25-year career in commercial banking and lending, Rich has worked tirelessly for the small business community. In his role at NYBDC, Rich helps small business owners access affordable financing to support their growth, particularly through financing for owner-occupied commercial real estate.
In addition to his work with NYBDC, Rich serves on the LIBDC’s executive board and as its associate treasurer.
“LIBDC serves as a central hub for economic development and the industries tied to commercial lending for all of Long Island,” said Rich. “The organization is instrumental in developing relationships that have increased opportunity for the local business community as a whole, and for individual professionals across Long Island. I am grateful to receive this honor.”
“Through his work at NYBDC, Rich has established strong relationships with businesses throughout the Tri-State area, built trust and dependability with each client, and assisted them on multiple levels to achieve their goals,” said Ed Mirabella, co-chair of LIBDC. “His contribution to economic development has been immensely successful and he provides the youthful energy that our organization will benefit from for years to come.”
“Rich has displayed all of the qualities that are required for this honor, which is the highest that the LIBDC can bestow,” said Ted Sasso, co-chair of LIBDC. “His nomination was unanimously approved which speaks volumes of Rich’s achievements and contributions to the Long Island business community.”
Congratulations to Rich on his induction to the LIBDC hall of fame!
